Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia 2000

A particularly hot and early harvest produced a bold but not very elegant Sassicaia. The color is an intense, ruby-garnet and the bouquet is ethereal and a bit alcoholic with aromas of black cherry preserved under spirits, sweet spice, tamarind and underbrush. The mouthfeel is warm with a strong initial impact that dilutes a bit in the finish.
