"King of wines par excellence, it requires and deserves careful attention at every moment… Every step must be carried out with great respect. There is no room for approximation. This culture and this love of the wine, and also of work well done, are the values that my father has passed on to me.
He helped me to understand everything that nature needs and that we must offer, and that nature will then repay us…
He also helped me to discover tastes, flavours and aromas… everything I rediscover when I carry out the blending of my champagnes…" - Paul Bara. Established in Bouzy in 1833, a village whose name appears in the inventory of wines of the Chateau of Versailles, on a renowned terroir classified Grand Cru 100%, the House of Bara has been handed down from generation to generation for more than 170 years, always respecting the traditional values of the family.
Over the decades, Bara champagne has maintained its traditional character, while evolving technologically to perfect its independence and constantly improve the quality of its production: respect of the land and environment, installation of a press, thermo-regulated vats and extension of the cellars.
Now managed expertly by Chantale Bara, the House of Paul Bara is developing its marketing tools by focusing on promoting the brand abroad. Thanks to this endless and constantly evolving work, our wines can be found on every continent. The House of Bara is a member of the very select “Club Trésors de Champagne”, quality circle of Estate Champagnes, and member of the famous Bouzy Wine Academy. This long experience, this love of the wine and the terroir, the respect of ancestral methods and the ageing of our wines deep in the chalk cellars are all assets that contribute to the renown of the Paul Bara brand.
