Nyetimber created this demi-sec blanc de blancs, which has 38g/L residual sugar, to complement delicate desserts, but like many sweeter styles, it can also work well as a pairing for gently spiced Asian cuisine. It's a multi-vintage wine, currently based on the 2014 vintage but with 20-30% reserve wine from 2011 blended in. Ripe, honeyed and citrussy, there are also aromas of toffee and popcorn that leap from the glass. It walks a perfect tightrope between richness and freshness, and would also work well as an aperitif, served with chicken liver paté on toast, or to accompany a cream tea
