This all Meunier, all estate champagne comes from some of the coldest vineyards in the appelation; Chavot and Vaudencourt in the sub region of sud-Epernay. Those cold sites, in combination with the warmest season in the history of Champagne has made for an extraordinary wine. Damien reserved only the couer de cuvée, the very purest of the free run juice, for this all barrique fermented, zero dosage bottling. The results are incredible- I would never want to have to guess the dosage on this blind, such is the richness of this full bodied, tarte tatin style Meunier.
