Chateau Mouton Rothschild Premier Grand Cru Classé 2005

Deep, dark, ruby-red color. Ripe, rich cassis & black-fruit aromas on the nose. The palate shows vibrant ripe blackcurrant fruit & lots of cedary new oak. At first it seems a little overdone & too opulent, but the fruit concentration ensures it lasts really well, acidity cuts in & balances the finish which is long pure & very elegant. Balanced to warm alcohol adds a little roundness to the finish.
