Smells richly of waxy frangipani flowers and waxy grapefruit skins and lanolin. Aciculated acidity. Very precise, forward-driving structure like a cross-bow bolt – true, linear, powerful, fiercely focused. Some smoky orange-peel notes, a bit like an orange peel thrown into the dying embers of a log fire. White-knuckle tension on the finish. Bone dry and almost like a Clare Valley Riesling in its rocky, glacial minerality.
